The
OrthoCarolina Sportsplex is the culmination of Charlotte Soccer Academy’s
vision to have a home venue for its teams. The journey started in 2010
when a team evaluated potential sites and culminated with the ribbon cutting
and opening of the fields in July, 2015.
The 60 acre site has six fields - five turf and one grass - and will eventually house the offices of CSA when
the 20,000 square foot building is completed in the near future. The
complex is the primary venue for
Charlotte Soccer Academy's largest section of its Charlotte operation. The upper turf field is FIFA certified and is fourth-generation turf which is the top material in use today. Both upper fields
meet FIFA requirements and could host professional matches.
The soccer complex was made possible by generous sponsors
such as OrthoCarolina, Bissell Hotels, Hickory Tavern, Sonitrol, Merrill Lynch and Pulte Homes. These sponsors allowed Phase
I of the project to be completed. Their participation and support are
deeply appreciated by the families of CSA.
